SEA-CCHange: Coastal communities’ heritage in times of climate change

UK

Fishing communities in England face multiple challenges, including extreme weather, legislative changes, declining fish stocks, and economic instability, all of which threaten their viability. UU, in collaboration with Northumberland, North-Eastern, and Eastern IFCAs, will investigate the cultural and economic shifts in six coastal fishing communities, assessing the long-term sustainability of small-scale fisheries and their role in coastal heritage.
